About the Role
We are now looking for a highly strategic and execution-driven Head of Strategy & PMI to join Assessio at our office in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a senior role reporting directly to our CEO, with end-to-end responsibility for our strategic planning process and post-merger integration initiatives.
As Head of Strategy & PMI, you will be the orchestrator of strategic alignment across the group – ensuring our OGSM and OKR frameworks drive measurable results – while leading integrations of acquired companies to ensure cultural, operational, and customer alignment. You will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and the Board, enabling decision-making that drives sustainable growth and maximizes value creation in a fast-scaling international SaaS environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Own and lead Assessio’s strategic planning process using the OGSM methodology.
- Design, implement, and run the OKR framework across the organization to enable strategy execution.
- Lead comprehensive post-merger integration (PMI) programs for acquired companies, including cultural alignment, operational integration, and customer migration.
- Facilitate strategic decision-making at executive and board levels.
- Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring accountability and impact.
- Drive governance, scenario planning, and risk assessment processes for strategic projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, aligning teams across multiple geographies.
- Support M&A evaluation processes with strategic perspectives and integration feasibility.
Who are you?
You are a strategic visionary with strong execution capabilities, a trusted advisor to leadership, and a hands-on driver of transformation. You thrive in a dynamic international SaaS environment, are comfortable managing broad stakeholder relationships, and excel at connecting executive intent with operational delivery.
We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Strategy, Finance, Business Administration, or Management (MBA is a plus).
- Bring solid experience in driving strategic planning and execution within SaaS, technology, or professional services – ideally in international and/or PE-owned companies.
- Feel confident leading complex post-merger integrations and can demonstrate tangible outcomes from previous PMI projects or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Have a strong track record of applying strategic frameworks such as OGSM and OKRs, turning them into practical tools that drive measurable business results.
- Are comfortable working closely with executive leadership and boards, adapting your communication style seamlessly from top-level decision makers to operational teams.
- Are skilled at navigating international, multicultural environments, and building alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Possess a sharp analytical mindset and strong financial acumen, particularly when it comes to M&A economics and value creation.
Nice to have:
- Additional training or certifications in strategy, change management, or M&A integration.
- Experience thriving in fast-growth, high-change environments, where structure needs to balance with adaptability.
A fair and data-driven recruitment process
At Assessio, we believe in potential. While your background matters, your ability to lead with clarity, drive change, and align people around complex strategic goals is what will make you succeed in this role.
We practice what we preach. That’s why you will be asked to complete three short assessments (personality, cognitive ability, and motivation) – a process that takes around 50 minutes and ensures a fair, unbiased selection based on potential rather than background alone.
