About the role
We're looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative who wants to play a key role in establishing Assessio in one of Europe's most exciting HR Tech markets. This isn't a traditional SDR role. Success comes from your ability to create meaningful conversations with senior decision-makers who are ready to rethink how they attract, hire and develop talent.
You'll be based in our Amsterdam office having both an engaged local and a global team to thrive and develop alongside with, and at the same timehelp shape Assessio's commercial presence in the UK by combining structured outbound prospecting with curiosity, business understanding and value-based selling.
As one of the first commercial hires dedicated to the UK market, you'll play an active role in shaping our Go-to-Market strategy, influencing how we approach the market, build our pipeline and establish our brand alongside Sales and Marketing.
What you'll be doing
Build, own and continuously develop a structured outbound pipeline for the UK market.
Identify target accounts and the right stakeholders through research and account planning.
Prospect through cold calling, email, LinkedIn and networking.
Engage HR leaders, Talent leaders and senior business stakeholders in value-based conversations focused on business challenges rather than product features.
Conduct discovery-led conversations to understand customer needs and identify qualified opportunities for our Account Executives.
Work closely with Marketing and Account Executives to continuously improve messaging, campaigns and outbound performance.
Keep HubSpot updated with structured, reliable pipeline data.
Stay informed about developments within HR Tech, recruitment and talent management, using these insights to strengthen customer conversations.
What you bring
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate that they have already built pipeline, opened doors and created commercial opportunities through proactive prospecting.
We believe that you come with:
Experience working in an SDR, BDR or similar outbound sales role where you've owned prospecting and pipeline generation.
Hands-on experience owning outbound prospecting through cold calling, email and LinkedIn - and confidence creating opportunities from scratch.
Experience building and managing a structured pipeline using a clear outbound strategy.
Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including HR leaders and C-level executives, through thoughtful, discovery-led conversations.
Strong research skills. Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM platform is an advantage.
Excellent spoken and written English. Dutch is a plus.
It's an advantage if you also have
Previous experience selling within HR Tech, Recruitment Tech or Talent Management SaaS.
The ability to identify the right ICP, prioritise target accounts and convert awareness into qualified opportunities.
